Valentine

She starts with red roses and lyrical proses – won’t mention any blues – this life contains no hues of sadness – only the pleasant decorum of a rippling note – held high and strong – my life’s song – began without – and trebles on melodiously – passionately – the chirruping bird – the soaring foray – the play – I couldn’t be happier – this Valentine’s Day – having you, my love.

Another Sunday Morning

I could be at the beach; the sound of the wind blowing through the pine trees reminds me of waves crashing.  Cockatoos screech overhead.  The normal bustle of the day is yet to begin; my neighbours are still asleep.  The sun is still rising, the heat building, quickly.  It will be a hot day.
