I saw it once through a grimy train window on the way to the city. Alongside the track, written neatly on the side of a receiver box; the words,
The dust of the dead gods
fade like cobwebs
in the pale blue sky
Whenever we passed it (and I always looked for it), it summoned a little light in me; this fragment of loveliness hidden amongst the crude tags and general rail-side ugliness.
It inspired. Words will do that to you.
